N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car (ATH-2474)

The N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car, represented by GPEX #755, is a detailed model inspired by the distinctive wooden milk cars manufactured by the Pfaudler Company and General American Car Company in the 1920s. Designed specifically as bulk milk carriers, these cars are built with two large 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks housed inside and equipped with a brine cooling system to maintain milk at a constant temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. These cars were painted in the iconic Pullman green, allowing them to match seamlessly with the era's passenger cars and they continued to be utilized for milk shipments into the 1950s.

This model features screw-mounted trucks and machined metal wheels, optimized for performance with RP25 contours. The highly detailed, injection-molded body is both painted and printed for a realistic finish, and it is fitted with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. Additionally, it offers a minimum operational radius of 11 inches, making it a fantastic addition to any model railroading setup.
