HO-scale ATH FMC 4700 Covered Hopper in FURX markings is a finely detailed model designed for realistic HO-scale freight operation on model railroads. It features separately applied brake gear, including a brake wheel, housing, chain, brake lever, air reservoir and triple valve, plus 100-ton trucks with 36-inch solid machined nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours for smooth running on most track brands. Factory-applied roof walk, roof hatch, end details, ladders and wire grab irons add to the model's authenticity, while an accurately painted injection-molded body captures the look of prototype equipment. Two outlet grate variations, see-through etched end platforms and roof walkways, body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and weight tuned for reliable performance round out the fit, with a minimum 18-inch radius and unique road-numbering in three-car packs.
