This HO-scale ATH FMC 4700 Covered Hopper is primed for grime, delivering a faithful in-service look and a ready canvas for weathering to match real-world equipment. The base finish is faded to mirror prototype cars, making it the ideal starting point to add grime and rust.

Authentic detailing includes a highly accurate injection-molded body with factory-applied roof walks, end details, ladders and wire grab irons, plus separately-applied brake gear with components such as a brake wheel, housing, chain, brake lever, air reservoir, brake cylinder and triple valve. Rolling realism comes from 100-ton trucks with 36-inch nickel-silver wheels on RP25 contours for smooth operation on most tracks, weight to ensure stable tracking, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. Additional touches include two outlet grate variations, see-through etched end platforms and roof walkways, and a minimum turning radius of 18 inches, all designed to support a convincing weathering project.
