HO EMD SW1500 Locomotive ITC #1514 (ATH-2516)

HO-scale EMD SW1500 Switcher Locomotive, ITC 1514 (ATH-2516), provides a detailed model of General Motors Electro-Motive Division's four-axle switcher built for yard and industrial service. Produced between 1966 and 1974, the SW1500 delivered about 1,500 horsepower and features a bulkier carbody with two exhaust stacks, built on the same frame as the SW1000 for a length of 44 feet 8 inches. Offered in Legendary Liveries that explore iconic, proposed, or alternate paint schemes, this model adds historical flavor and roster variety to HO layouts.

On the layout, this HO SW1500 is designed for realistic operation and display. It carries fine-scale details such as lit ground lights, LED lighting, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, frame-mounted handrails, and a detailed cab interior, with McHenry scale knuckle couplers and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet performance. DCC-ready Quick Plug technology with a 21-pin NEM connector supports easy digital control, while a 5-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels provides steady pulling power.
