An HO-scale SW1500 switcher locomotive with DCC and sound, this compact four-axle diesel is built for yard work and light freight on HO layouts. It faithfully reproduces the SW1500’s bulky hood and two exhaust stacks, with fine-scale handrails and a detailed cab interior for a prototypical presence. The onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami delivers authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, bringing yard operations to life on the layout.

LED lighting and operating ground lights add daytime and night-time realism, while see-through radiator grilles, cab windows, and separately applied grab irons boost visual detail. A newly designed, more powerful and quieter can motor drives the model with all-wheel traction and reliable current pickup for smooth, quiet running. McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), RP25 wheel contours, and 21-pin NMRA Quick Plug connectivity support easy linking and future decoder upgrades. The model handles DC operation with some functions limited and includes a CV chart for MU lashups and tuning.
