HO ATH SW1500 Locomotive w/DCC & Sound NOPB #1502 (ATH-2545)

HO-scale EMD SW1500 switcher locomotive with DCC and sound is a detailed model of the 1,500-horsepower GM EMD switcher designed for yard work and light freights on industrial lines. It reproduces the SW1500’s bulkier car body, dual exhaust stacks, and finely crafted cab and body details, and it comes in classic paint schemes that fit a wide range of rosters. LED lighting and operating ground lights add realism for night shunting and yard scenes.

Equipped with DCC-ready Quick Plug and a 21-pin NMRA connector, the model is ready for digital control, and sound-enabled versions feature an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami, a single cube speaker, and full NMRA function compatibility in DCC mode (some functions are limited in DC). The powertrain uses an improved five-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels for smooth, quiet operation and reliable all-wheel drive, with RP25 wheel contours for broad track compatibility. Extras include see-through radiator grilles and cab windows, frame-mounted handrails, MU hoses, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers, plus an 18-inch minimum radius for layout flexibility, making it ideal for yard work, light freight, and roster variety.
