HO-scale 4-4-0 steam locomotive with DCC and sound brings classic 19th-century railroading to modern layouts. This highly detailed model features see-through cab windows, separately applied wire-form details, a smoke stack, and a boiler-mounted bell, with bi-directional LED headlights for consistent illumination in either direction. A five-pole motor with precision-machined flywheels and a multi-link drive ensures smooth operation, while traction tires on two drivers boost pulling power. The heavy die-cast frame adds weight and stability, and nickel-plated, machined wheels with RP25 contours provide reliable running on most brands of track. It ships fully assembled and ready to run, is painted and decorated for realism, and has a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for smooth operation on hobby layouts.

Sound-equipped versions feature an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami sound, offering authentic locomotive audio and full DCC functionality when used in DCC mode. The unit includes a DCC-ready 21-pin plug for flexible decoder options, and delivers precise slow-speed control. A CV chart is included to guide setup and tuning, with numerous functions adjustable via CV changes. It can be programmed for MU lashups with the lead unit’s horn, bell, and lights, enabling realistic, multi-unit operation on the layout.
