ACF 4600 3-Bay CenterFlow Hopper is a detailed model of the mid-1960s CenterFlow covered hopper built by American Car and Foundry. With a 4,600 cubic foot capacity, the car was designed to haul grain and other bulk commodities and to unload by gravity through a rounded, center-sill-free body. The CenterFlow design enabled operation within Plate B clearances for light branch lines and industrial service, making it a modern replacement for aging 40-foot boxcars in grain service.

The model captures three body styles—Early, Mid, and Late—each reflecting era-appropriate details such as brake wheel heights, end ladders, and stiffeners, along with round or trough hatches, a photo-etched roofwalk, and detailed outlets. It includes separately applied brake wheels, screw-mounted 100-ton trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. Weighed for smooth operation and fully assembled, it arrives ready to run with accurate paint and printing. The minimum recommended radius is 9¾ inches, and multiple road numbers are provided to add realism to grain-train consists.
