HO RTR 57' Trinity Spine Car (ATH15536)

This HO-scale, 57-foot Trinity spine car is a ready-to-run intermodal model designed to haul trailers and containers on HO layouts. Based on a Trinity-built spine car used by the TTX fleet in the late 1990s, this model faithfully captures the look of real intermodal equipment and accommodates a variety of trailers and containers to recreate believable yard and highway scenes.

Highlights include a precision die-cast spine frame, etched walkways, and separately applied brake piping, with fine ladder detail and a weighted chassis for stable running. McHenry scale-knuckle couplers are installed, and 33-inch solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth operation on common HO tracks. Trailer hitches are provided separately in raised and collapsed configurations to match your presentation, and the minimum radius is 20 inches to fit many layouts. The "Primed for grime" finish offers an authentic in-service appearance, with base colors faded to the prototype and ready for weathering to add grime and rust. The prototype inspiration is a Trinity-built spine car used by TTX in intermodal service, part of the RAF30A class and designed to carry a mix of trailers and containers.
