Introducing the N scale F59PHI Locomotive SDRX No. 901, a ready-to-run model that faithfully reproduces Electro-Motive Division's high-speed F59PHI design. Road-number 901 captures the lightweight, streamlined profile built for the California Department of Transportation and widely seen across North America. It ships fully assembled with realistic paint and lettering, features LED headlights, see-through cab windows, and McHenry knuckle couplers, all mounted on a heavy die-cast frame for traction and quiet, smooth operation. With all-wheel drive and precise gearing, plus all-wheel electrical pickup, this model performs reliably on Code 55 and 80 rails and fits on typical N-scale layouts with a minimum radius of 9 3/4 inches. There are two configuration paths: a non-sound DCC-ready version and a sound-equipped model with onboard Econami sound by SoundTraxx and a DCC decoder featuring Tsunami2 sound. In both DC and DCC, engine, horn, and bell sounds are available, with full NMRA compatibility in DCC mode and refined slow-speed control for prototypical operation.
