SCAX #887 F59PHI Locomotive is a faithful model reproduction of Electro-Motive Division's high‑speed F59PHI locomotive, designed to power passenger trains on model layouts. Available in both non‑sound DCC‑ready form and a sound‑equipped edition, it features LED headlights, see‑through cab windows, McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and bi‑directional constant lighting for a realistic appearance. The drive system combines all‑wheel electrical pickup, a heavy die‑cast frame for traction, and a 5‑pole skew‑wound motor with precision flywheels and a multi‑link powertrain for smooth, quiet operation. Painted and printed with realistic decoration, it's ready to run out of the box and compatible with Code 55 and 80 rails, with a minimum radius of 9 3/4 inches and multiple road numbers for prototypical variety.

Sound‑equipped versions include onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx and a DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC operation.
