HO 16,000 Gallon Clay Tank (ATH16404)

HO-scale 16,000-gallon clay tank car is a detailed model for HO model railroads, designed to depict a modern bottom-unloading tank used in clay service. The prototype carries about 16,000 gallons, features a 111-inch diameter tank and a 44-foot overall length, and uses a Funnel-Flow bottom unloading design with lining to prevent cross-contamination in dedicated service.

Model features include full brake plumbing and rigging with brake wheel, air reservoir, cylinder, triple valve, and trainline, along with see-through etched metal walkways and ends, separately applied fittings such as nozzles and manways, wire platform railings and ladders, placard holders, and printed markings on the tank body. It rides on McHenry AAR upper and lower shelf couplers and 36-inch nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours, and is designed for HO-scale layouts with a minimum track radius of 18 inches.
