The N-scale PS-2 2600 cu ft Covered Hopper is a detailed model of a mid‑century cement and sand freight car, designed for N-scale layouts. Introduced in the 1960s, these hoppers were widely used for cement and sand service and could remain in service well into the 2000s; on occasion they were used as buffer cars when a bulkhead protected load wasn’t present.

Designed for prototypical realism, the model features flush or overhanging roofs, etched metal roofwalks, factory-installed wire roofwalk grab irons, and McHenry knuckle spring couplers.
