This 30,000-gallon ethanol tank car model recreates the look and function of a modern ethanol transport car for scale railroading. Real-world versions are typically owned by railcar leasing companies and leased to ethanol producers, with single cars and small blocks mixed into trains, or assembled into larger ethanol unit trains that service refineries and large fuel operations.

Rich in detail, the model features a separately applied brake wheel, walkway platform, manway, outlet, ladders, and brake rigging detail, along with safety rail supports and tank saddles. It includes photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails and end handrails, and printed placards for a realistic appearance. The car rides on screw-mounted 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with machined metal wheels that run on Code 55 and 80 rails, and it is weighted for dependable tracking.
