HO GP40-2 Locomotive CPR #4617 (ATH18259)

Introducing an HO-scale GP40-2 locomotive in Canadian Pacific livery, CPR #4617. This ready-to-run model recreates a late-CP era GP40-2 and is based on former Milwaukee Road units repainted for CP, delivering an authentic hood and paint scheme. It arrives sound-ready with a built-in speaker and a 21-pin socket available for adding a sound decoder if desired.

Built for reliable operation on HO layouts, the model features see-through cab windows, factory Celcon handrails, and illuminated front and rear headlights with ditch lights. Details include CP-style grilles (chicken wire or corrugated), a compact 2600- or 3600-gallon fuel tank, and a large EMD front plow. The drivetrain combines a heavy die-cast frame, a 5-pole motor with flywheels, and all-wheel drive with reliable electrical pickup for smooth, quiet performance, while separately-applied horns and McHenry scale knuckle couplers provide prototypical operation.
