An HO-scale GP40-2 locomotive in BNSF livery reproduces the rebuilt GP40-2R units used in bidirectional local service. This fully assembled, ready-to-run model carries dual-end ditch lights to mirror prototype operation and uses road number 3001 to match the real locomotive on your layout.

Inside, it offers authentic detailing and dependable performance: see-through cab windows, Celcon handrails, illuminated headlights and ditch lights, and a heavy die-cast frame with RP25-contoured wheels on an all-wheel-drive chassis. Power comes from a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin plug and ships with built-in speakers, so a 21-pin sound decoder can be added for authentic locomotive sounds. Designed for HO track, it accommodates minimum radii of 18 inches and a recommended radius of 22 inches.
