HO-scale BNSF GP40-2 locomotive built to represent rebuilt GP40-2R (GP40M) units used in bidirectional local service. This ready-to-run model features authentic detailing, including see-through cab windows, chickenwire grilles, a short fuel tank, a large EMD front plow, forward and reverse ditch lights, and a P3 horn for a convincing presence on an HO layout.

Inside, the model uses a heavy die-cast frame and a five-pole motor with flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation. It benefits from all-wheel drive and electrical pickup for dependable performance on typical HO track, along with nickel-plated machined wheels with RP25 contours and McHenry scale-knuckle couplers for reliable coupling. Painted and decorated for realism, it arrives fully assembled and ready to run, and is sound-ready with speakers installed and a 21-pin plug to add a sound decoder of choice.
