Norfolk Southern HO-scale GP40-2 Locomotive is a ready-to-run model designed to faithfully reproduce the NS GP40-2 in HO scale. It features front and rear ditch lights, a dynamic braking system, and a Leslie 3-chime horn, along with an EMD-style front plow for authentic NS operation. Painted in Norfolk Southern livery, this locomotive is ready to join yard service, branch-line work, or mainline duties on a hobbyist’s layout.

Power comes from a robust 5-pole motor with precision flywheels and a multi-link drive, delivering smooth, quiet pulling power with reliable all-wheel electrical pickup. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels featuring RP25 contours and a choice of 2600- or 3600-gallon fuel tanks for added prototype detail. It includes see-through cab windows, factory-installed Celcon handrails, illuminated headlights and ditch lights (with strobes where applicable), and separately-applied horns, plus McHenry-scale knuckle couplers. It is ready to run out of the box with speakers installed for sound and a 21-pin DCC-ready plug to accept a sound decoder of choice.
