The HO 50' FMC 5347 Box is a finely detailed model train car that features newly tooled bodies with road-specific doors for enhanced authenticity. It comes equipped with separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel, all designed to replicate the original features accurately. The model includes a photo-etched crossover platform and is weighted for optimum performance on the tracks, ensuring stability during operation.

This box car is fitted with 33’ machined metal wheels that adhere to RP25 contours, promoting smooth travel along the rails. It is designed with body-mounted McHenry® operating scale knuckle couplers for realistic coupling ability. Each car is painted and printed with precision to offer a lifelike appearance and a minimum radius requirement of 18 inches for effective operation on a variety of tracks.

This model car pays homage to an era in the mid-1970s when a boom in incentive per diem box cars occurred, leading to the introduction of vibrant and varied box cars—many lettered for short lines.
