N FP45 Locomotive with DCC and Sound ATSF #5946 (ATH19183)

This N-scale FP45 Locomotive with DCC and Sound reproduces Santa Fe ATSF 5946 in the FP45’s distinctive cowl-bodied freight design. Based on the SD45, the FP45 combines a full-width body with a powerful frame, and this model captures that look with see-through cab windows and scale detailing. Fully assembled and ready to run, it rides on a heavy die-cast frame for traction and uses RP25 wheels and scale handrails for a lifelike presence on an N-track layout.

Inside, an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 delivers authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds and works on both DC and DCC. In DCC mode, all functions are NMRA-compatible and CVs can be tuned (CV chart included) to tailor performance. The model features a 5-pole motor with flywheels, an all-wheel drivetrain for smooth operation, bidirectional LED lighting, scale Celcon handrails, and Santa Fe detailing like dynamic brakes. It also supports MU lashups and has a minimum radius of 9¾ inches to navigate typical curves on layouts.
