HO PS4740 Covered Hopper TLDX #7121 (ATH22273)

An HO-scale model of the Pullman-Standard PS-4740 Covered Hopper, designed for bulk shipments such as grain. Based on the 4740-cubic-foot design introduced in 1967 to replace the earlier 4427-cubic-foot cars, it captures a familiar, utilitarian hopper that roams North American rails.

Fully assembled and ready to run, the model rides on 36-inch nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most track brands. Razor-sharp painting and printing, along with body-mounted McHenry operating-scale knuckle couplers, deliver a realistic appearance and reliable coupling. Roller-bearing trucks and a weighted body contribute to stable, credible performance, while a minimum 18-inch layout radius keeps it friendly to compact layouts. Multi-pack releases feature unique road numbers to help build a varied roster.
