N 40' Pfaudler Milk Car Alderney Dairy #104 (ATH24034)

This 40-foot N-scale milk car, Alderney Dairy #104, is a historically inspired model that recreates a bulk-milk carrier from the early to mid-20th century. The prototype carried two 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks with a brine cooling system to keep milk at 38 degrees Fahrenheit and rode on passenger-car trucks, capturing the era’s distinctive equipment and service.

On the model, screw-mounted trucks ride on machined metal wheels with RP25 profiles, and the weighted chassis promotes smooth, reliable operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide prototypical coupling, while the injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration. Designed for 11-inch minimum-radius curves, this Dairy car can be included on most N-scale layouts to help recreate historic bulk milk shipments.
