N 40' Pfaudler Milk Car Plastic Model Kit (ATH24038)

An N-scale 40-foot Pfaudler Milk Car plastic model kit that recreates a vintage bulk-milk carrier from the 1920s. The model captures a car designed to haul milk in two 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks, with a brine cooling system to keep the product at about 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

Designed for reliable operation on N-scale layouts, the kit features screw-mounted trucks, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and weight to improve handling. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide prototypical coupling, while the highly detailed injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration. It is specified for a minimum 11-inch radius on curves. Historically, these cars were built in the 1920s by the Pfaudler Company and General American Car Company as bulk-milk carriers and often wore Pullman green, remaining in service into the 1950s.
