The N Auto-Max Carrier is a detailed model of Gunderson's Auto-Max articulated auto rack car in Kansas City Southern livery, designed for model railroad layouts. It recreates a real-world carrier capable of hauling up to 22 SUVs on three internal ramps, giving a dramatic presence to freight consists. In prototype terms, the Auto-Max stretches over 140 feet in length and rises about 20 feet above the rail, illustrating its imposing scale on the layout.

The model is packed with realism: separately applied brake wheels and brake details, a simulated corrugated roof, and full articulation with a flexible diaphragm for smooth movement on curves. It features safety striping, screw-mounted trucks, machined metal wheels, and a weighted chassis for steady operation. McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers ensure reliable coupling, and the injection-molded body captures fine detail. It runs on Code 55 and 80 rails and requires a minimum radius of 15 inches to operate properly.
