N Auto-Max Carrier BNSF Wedge (ATH24751)

This N-scale Auto-Max Carrier in BNSF livery captures Gunderson’s iconic wedge-nose Auto-Max articulated auto rack in model form. On the prototype, the Auto-Max could haul up to 22 SUVs on three internal ramps and stretched over 140 feet long and about 20 feet tall from the railhead. The model translates that scale and function to an N‑scale layout, giving a bold, vehicle-carrying centerpiece for modern freight trains.

Features include separately applied brake details, a corrugated roof, full articulation with a flexible diaphragm, safety striping, screw-mounted trucks, machined metal wheels, and a weighted body for reliable tracking. It uses McHenry operating scale knuckles and an injection-molded, highly detailed body. Compatible with Code 55 and Code 80 rail and with a 15-inch minimum radius, this carrier combines faithful prototype styling with smooth operation to bring realistic vehicle movement to the layout.
