N Auto-Max Carrier Model Railroad Car (ATH24756)

Introducing the N Auto-Max Carrier model railroad car, an accurate N-scale replica of Gunderson’s Auto-Max articulated auto rack. This model is designed to run on Code 55 and Code 80 track and to handle tight curves with a minimum radius of 15 inches, making it versatile for a range of layouts. The real Auto-Max prototype was built to carry up to 22 SUVs on three interior ramps, illustrating the intermodal power this class of car represents on rail networks.

Beyond its faithful silhouette, the model includes separately applied brake wheels and brake details, a simulated corrugated roof, full articulation with a flexible diaphragm, safety striping, and screw-mounted trucks. Machined metal wheels ride on a weighted chassis for steady tracking, while McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide reliable, prototypical connections. The injection-molded body is highly detailed, delivering a rugged, realistic addition to any intermodal scene on an N-scale layout.
