N 4-6-6-4 Steam Locomotive D&RGW #3803 (ATH25546)

Denver & Rio Grande Western 4-6-6-4 Challenger Steam Locomotive, D&RGW No. 3803, is a ready-to-run HO-scale model that captures the power and presence of the wartime Challenger. Built with a coal burner and dual smokestacks, this locomotive reflects the 1944–1946 era and the distinctive silhouette of these big articulated engines.

The model features a heavy die-cast frame for traction, a five-pole motor with flywheel for smooth operation, and a full cab interior with boiler backhead printed gauges. See-through running boards and cab windows, along with McHenry scale knuckle couplers and LED lighting, contribute to a highly realistic appearance. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play circuitry for easy digital control, and it negotiates 11" radius curves, with a minimum recommended radius of 15". Some versions are sound-equipped, housing a tender-mounted DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, delivering engine, whistle, and bell sounds in DC and full DCC functionality in DCC mode, plus CV adjustments guided by the included chart.
