HO 53' Reefer Trailer B&B Transport #2417 (ATH26753)

This HO-scale 53-foot refrigerated trailer for B&B Transport is a ready-to-run model designed for intermodal scenes on HO layouts. It recreates the trailer-on-flat-car (TOFC) concept—trailers loaded onto flatcars to form intermodal trains—that has shaped North American railroading since the 1940s.

Off the shelf, the trailer arrives fully assembled and painted, with separate mud flaps, rubber tires, and a highly detailed injection-molded body. It includes a spare tire rack per prototype, mirrors three fuel-tank sizes seen on the real trailers, and features etched metal aerodynamic wings on some variants for added realism. It can be used by itself on a layout or paired with the Athearn 57-foot Trinity 3-Unit Spine Car to recreate intermodal TOFC movements.
