An N-scale PS-4427 Covered Hopper models Pullman-Standard’s 4427-cubic-foot bulk-cargo car, a design historically used to haul grain and other bulk commodities across North American rails. This layout-friendly model captures the car’s practical silhouette and role, making it a natural fit for grain-handling scenes, interchange yards, and long-haul runs on an N-scale layout.

Equipped with body-mounted McHenry knuckle spring couplers and screw-mounted trucks for reliable tracking, it rides on roller-bearing trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours for a realistic rolling profile. It runs on Code 55 and 80 rail and is weighted for on-layout stability. Fully assembled and ready to run, it ships in a jewel box for display and storage, with razor-sharp painting and printing that reproduce authentic lettering and detail. The car supports tight layouts with a minimum radius of 9 3/4 inches, and a MILW (Milwaukee Road) version is available.
