HO Scale 60-Foot Intermodal Container is the first HO‑scale 60‑foot cargo container available, designed for intermodal trains on HO model railroads. This high‑cube unit, offered in Athearn Version 2 and Version 3, uses standard 40‑foot attachment points and is built to ride on top of a 53‑foot well car with another container beneath.

Introduced in 2015 for the Canadian market to support Long Vehicle Combinations up to 40 meters, these long containers are ideal for bulky but light cargo. Manufactured by Singamas Container and Dong Fang Container International, the containers are shipped empty to Canada and are typically carried in the top position of a 53‑foot well car atop another container. The design features trapezoidal side ribs, vertical squared ribs at the front, and flat rear doors with reinforced ribbing.
