HO-scale Conrail SW1500 switcher locomotive — Ready-to-Run. This ready-to-operate HO model reproduces Conrail's compact SW1500 yard switcher and is ideal for realistic switching on a home or club layout. It reflects the roster created in 1976 from three former Reading SW1500s and arrives fully assembled and ready to run for immediate operation.

Highlights include a detailed injection-molded body with a full cab interior, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and scale details such as sunshades, a Sinclair-style antenna, Flexicoil trucks, a 1,100-gallon fuel tank, drop steps, MU stands, and separately applied wire grab irons. It rides on RP25 wheels with precise gearing and all-wheel electrical pickup for smooth, reliable performance, and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with standard Kadee couplers. DCC-ready versions feature a 21-pin Quick Plug connector, while DCC and sound variants add Tsunami2 sound with dual cube speakers and LED lighting for long-lasting operation; operating ground lights are included on newer models. DC operation is supported with some function limitations, while DCC mode offers full NMRA-compatible control. Minimum turning radius is 18 inches.
