HO SW1500 Ready-To-Run Locomotive, offered undecorated or in Southern Pacific undecorated styling, is a faithful HO-scale switcher designed for yard work and light freight duties. This fully assembled model captures the SW1500’s compact profile and interior detail, with an SP-styled option featuring a front and rear SP lighting package, SP-style P-3 horn, footboard pilots, early-style cut levers, and a full cab interior, while undecorated shells provide a clean canvas for customization. DCC-ready versions support plug-and-play operation, and sound-equipped variants add Tsunami2 sound with dual cube speakers and LED lighting for a richer, more immersive run.

Built for reliability and realistic operation, the SW1500 features a highly detailed injection-molded body, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and finely rendered scale details such as separately applied grab irons and MU stands. It rides on AAR trucks with RP25-wheel contours, uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), and offers all-wheel drive with precise gears and reliable electrical pickup.
