HO Scale SW1500 Undecorated Locomotive — Ready-to-Run. This versatile HO switcher is designed for modelers who want a ready-to-run platform that can be decorated to match their railroad’s era. It comes in two undecorated variants: SP/SSW, featuring an SP-style lighting package on the front and rear, a P-3 horn, and early-detail items such as footboard pilots and pilot-face grab irons, along with a full cab interior; and Undecorated Standard, with a single-chime horn, footboards, AAR roller-bearing trucks, hood-mounted handrails, a 1,100-gallon fuel tank, and a Sinclair antenna. Both options share a highly detailed injection-molded body with see-through radiator grilles and cab windows for an authentic on-rail presence.

On the rails, the SW1500 delivers smooth, dependable performance with all-wheel drive and precision gearing for quiet operation, plus all-wheel electrical pickup for reliable power on DC or DCC layouts. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin plug, and sound-equipped variants feature Tsunami2 sound with dual cube speakers for authentic engine sounds in DCC; DC operation supports basic engine and horn sounds. LED lighting, an upgraded can motor, and operating ground lights on select models enhance reliability and visibility. The model rides on RP25-contoured wheels with McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and is designed for a minimum radius of 18 inches, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of layouts and track brands.
