This HO-scale RS-3 locomotive reproduces Denver & Rio Grande Western's #5202 and is designed for local and switching operations on a model railroad. It’s a ready-to-run, highly detailed replica that captures the RS-3’s distinctive profile and long-hood-forward operation for authentic look and handling on a western layout.

The model features a robust all-wheel-drive drivetrain driven by a newly designed, more powerful and quieter can motor, along with metal grab irons, fine-scale handrails, and see-through etched radiator fans and cab windows. It rides on RP25 wheels for reliable tracking and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). DCC-ready versions include a 21-pin Quick Plug for easy digital control, while sound-equipped variants add Tsunami2 DCC/Sound with a cube speaker for engine, horn, and bell sounds; LED lighting enhances realism, and some functions may be limited in DC operation.
