HO Scale EMD Model 40 Locomotive is a ready-to-run, highly detailed HO model that recreates the compact two-axle diesel-electric "critter" used as a shop switcher in the 1940s. Based on the historic EMC/EMD Model 40 built between 1940 and 1943, this faithful reproduction brings a touch of railroad history to an HO layout and arrives fully assembled and ready to run.

Designed for HO-scale layouts, it features a separately applied horn, exhaust stacks, and bell, see-through cab windows, and a finely detailed injection-molded body with Celcon handrails for a lifelike appearance.
