HO-scale Ready-to-Run SW1500 Conrail locomotive in Conrail livery for HO layouts, with DCC and sound. Fully assembled and ready to run, this model captures Conrail’s mid-1970s roster—the trio of former Reading SW1500s that joined Conrail in April 1976.

Beyond its faithful exterior, the SW1500 offers a wealth of detailing and operation. It features a detailed cab interior, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, signal hoses with silver glad hands, and front and rear trainline hoses with silver glad hands, plus separately applied grab irons. New features include operating ground lights and a more powerful, quieter can motor. DCC-ready models use a 21-pin plug for easy DCC installation, while DCC and sound versions carry a Tsunami2 decoder with dual cube speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds on both DC and DCC layouts. LED lighting provides long-lasting illumination, and the locomotive runs with all-wheel drive, RP25 wheels, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). The minimum operating radius is 18 inches.
