Power comes from an improved can motor with flywheels and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain for smooth, quiet operation. DCC-ready versions include a 21-pin plug for easy DCC installation, while sound-equipped models use a Tsunami2 decoder with dual cube speakers to reproduce engine, horn, and bell sounds on both DC and DCC layouts (some functions may be limited in DC). The model rides on RP25-contoured wheels for broad track compatibility, uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee-compatible, and requires a minimum 18-inch radius to navigate typical HO curves.
