HO RTR SW1500 with DCC and Sound Undecorated (ATH28768)

HO-scale SW1500 diesel switcher with DCC and Tsunami2 sound, offered in undecorated finishes and ready to run. This compact yard locomotive is designed for realistic switching on HO layouts, and comes in two undecorated variants: an SP-delivered style with front and rear SP lighting, SP-style horn, and period-correct footboard pilots and pilot-face grab irons; or a standard undecorated version with a single-chime horn, footboards, AAR roller-bearing trucks, hood-mounted handrails, a 1,100-gallon fuel tank, and a Sinclair antenna. The model features a highly detailed injection-molded body, painted and printed decoration, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee, and is fully assembled and ready to run.

On the rails, it delivers smooth, reliable performance thanks to all-wheel drive with precision gears and reliable current pickup. DCC-ready variants include Quick Plug plug-and-play for easy decoder installation, while DCC- and-sound versions house Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds that operate in both DC and DCC. New features include operating ground lights, an improved can motor for more power and quieter operation, and LED lighting for long life. The model rides on RP25-contour wheels with a minimum 18-inch radius on HO layouts and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee; some functions are limited in DC, but DCC mode provides full NMRA-compatible control and lighting options with F5/F6.
