HO RTR SW1500 with DCC and Sound Undecorated (ATH28769)

HO Scale SW1500 Switcher with DCC and Sound, Undecorated is a ready-to-run HO model designed for customization. It is offered in two undecorated configurations: SP/SSW styling with front and rear lighting and an SP-style horn plus a full cab interior, or an undecorated standard variant with a single-chime horn, footboards, AAR trucks with roller bearings, hood-mounted handrails, a 1,100-gallon fuel tank, and the Sinclair antenna. Either choice provides a faithful starting point for painting and lettering to your own railroad, while delivering switcher-focused performance for yard work on an HO layout.

On the rails, the SW1500 blends detailed modeling with modern drive and electronics. Features include a new, more powerful and quieter can motor, LED lighting, and a DCC-ready Quick Plug 21-pin interface for easy DCC installation; sound-equipped models use a Tsunami2 DCC/Sound decoder with dual cube speakers, and operate in both DC and DCC with NMRA compatibility. Finishing touches such as separately applied wire grab irons, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and refined builders’ plates enhance realism, while all-wheel drive and electrical pickup help keep power smooth on layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius.
