This HO-scale, ready-to-run RS-3 diesel locomotive reproduces the Canadian Pacific’s Action Red ALCO RS-3 for HO layouts, offering a versatile, historically faithful performer with modern decoder options. Available in both DCC-ready form and a DCC-equipped version with Tsunami2 sound, it delivers authentic operation and onboard audio where fitted, along with reliable LED lighting for long-life illumination.

Highlights include a newly designed, more powerful and quieter can motor paired with a 5-pole skew-wound main motor and flywheels for smooth, steady operation. The model features metal grab irons, fine-scale handrails, see-through etched radiator fans and cab windows, RP25-contoured wheels, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee-compatible. It offers both DCC-ready use via a Quick Plug 21-pin interface and sound-equipped performance with an onboard Tsunami2 DCC/Sound decoder and cube speaker; in DC, engine, horn, and bell sounds are available, while DCC mode provides full NMRA-compatible function operation. LED lighting, an 18-inch minimum radius, and a detailed injection-molded body painted and printed for realism round out the package, capturing CPR’s distinctive Action Red scheme and the RS-3’s versatile design.
