This fully assembled model brings ALCO’s RS-3 to HO layouts, designed for reliable local and switching work with authentic decoration and modern Tsunami2 sound that’s ready to run right out of the box.

It features a newly designed, quieter can motor and a DCC-ready 21-pin plug; sound-equipped versions use Tsunami2 with a cube speaker for realistic engine, horn, and bell audio. On DC, engine, horn, and bell sounds operate, while in DCC mode all functions are NMRA-compatible. LED lighting adds long-life brightness, and DRGW authenticity is reflected in details like dual horns and a firecracker antenna, complemented by metal grab irons, fine-scale handrails, see-through etched radiator fan and cab windows, McHenry knuckle couplers, and RP25 wheels for smooth operation on most HO track. With all-wheel drive and electrical pickup and an 18-inch minimum radius, this RS-3 delivers dependable performance and a faithful appearance on a wide range of layouts.
