HO SW1500 Locomotive Union Pacific 1011 (ATH29665)

Union Pacific HO-scale SW1500 Locomotive, road number 1011, is a detailed HO model of GM's EMD SW1500 switcher designed for yard and industrial switching on a realistic layout. This UP version captures authentic details such as dual exhaust stacks, a large fuel tank, frame-mounted handrails, a Nathan P-3 horn, and a detailed cab interior visible through see-through windows. It also features operating ground lights, MU hoses, footboards removed on both ends, loop-style cut levers, and front and rear trainline hoses with silver glad hands, all housed in a finely molded injection body with RP25 wheels and McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee-compatible. The model carries a minimum turning radius of 18 inches for smooth operation on typical HO layouts.

Performance-wise, the SW1500 is designed for dependable yard switching with all-wheel drive and reliable current pickup. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM connector, and available sound-equipped variants include onboard DCC with SoundTraxx Economi sound and a single cube speaker, operating in both DC and DCC modes with NMRA-compatible functionality in DCC.
