HO-scale Southern Pacific SW1500 Switcher No. 2556 is a compact yard locomotive built for authentic switching on HO layouts. This detailed SP model captures the road’s distinctive look, including a front-mounted number board and a full lighting package, plus period-correct touches such as a large fuel tank and MU hoses. It’s designed for reliable yard work and light industrial switching, with DCC-ready plug-and-play options and the possibility of adding sound for a more immersive operation.

Power comes from an improved five-pole motor with flywheels and a smooth, quiet drive, supported by all-wheel drive and continuous electrical pickup. The model features RP25 wheel contours, finely detailed grab irons, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, separate air tanks, and McHenry knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee. It also includes operating ground lights and LED lighting, injection-molded body detailing, and other SP-specific touches.
