HO SW1500 Locomotive, Southern Pacific #2568, is a detailed HO-scale model of EMD's SW1500 switcher designed for yard and industrial switching on HO layouts. This Southern Pacific variant captures the workhorse look with SP lighting and a large cab-front number board, creating an authentic centerpiece for SP-era operations.

Every angle of the model emphasizes realism: lit ground lights, a detailed cab interior, drop steps, MU stands, dual exhaust stacks, printed number boards, fine-scale handrails, and a see-through radiator grille and cab windows. It features front and rear trainline hoses with silver glad hands, MU hoses, a large fuel tank, and footboards where appropriate. The chassis rides on Flexicoil trucks with RP25 wheel contours for smooth tracking, with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup for steady power. McHenry scale knuckle couplers are included and are Kadee-compatible, and the model is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM connector. For power and control, there are DC and DCC options; sound-equipped variants use a SoundTraxx Economi decoder with a single-cube speaker, operable in DC and DCC, with CV-based tuning and an included CV chart.
