HO Scale SW1500 Locomotive with DCC & Sound is a detailed HO-model recreating the EMD SW1500 switcher for realistic switching power on HO layouts. Built as a four-axle diesel from the late 1960s, this locomotive was commonly used on light branch lines and industrial settings. This model is offered in two configurations: a DCC-ready version with a 21-pin plug for easy installation and a sound-equipped version with an onboard DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Economi sound driven through a single speaker. LED lighting helps ensure reliable illumination for both daytime and nighttime operation.

Prototype-inspired details include flexicoil trucks, MU hoses, hood-mounted handrails, dual exhaust stacks, and a detailed cab interior, along with operating ground lights, see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and finely rendered grab irons. Front and rear trainline hoses with silver glad hands, printed number boards, and fine-scale handrails add to the realism. The model rides on McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee compatible) and features all-wheel drive with dependable electrical pickup for steady performance. A newly designed can motor delivers more power with quieter operation, while RP25 wheels ensure smooth operation on most HO track.
