HO 40' Offset Coal Hopper with Load (ATH33082)

HO-scale 40-foot Offset Coal Hopper with Load is a detailed freight model designed for coal service on HO layouts. It captures the offset hopper design used for bulk shipments and includes a removable coal load for staging unloading scenes. The model features factory-applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps, end braces, and brake platform, plus separately applied brake gear, including brake wheel, housing, air reservoir, triple valve and trainline. Weighted for stable running, it rides on precision machined RP25 wheels with McHenry operating scale knuckles and comes fully assembled and ready to run on standard HO track, able to negotiate curves down to an 18-inch minimum radius.

Two variants are offered: a standard HO scheme and a CB&Q No. 2 livery, letting hobbyists recreate different coal-hauling rosters. Both share the same high level of detail and dependable operation, with a detailed injection-molded body, a weighted underframe for smooth tracking, removable load for display versatility, and a complete braking set.
