HO 40' Offset Coal Hopper with Load, CN #2 (ATH33085)

This HO-scale 40-foot offset coal hopper with load is designed to model coal service on HO-layouts. It ships fully assembled and ready to run, with a removable coal load and authentic detailing that enhances yards and mainline scenes.

The model includes factory-applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps, end braces, and a brake platform, plus separately applied brake gear such as a brake wheel, housing, air reservoir, brake cylinder, triple valve and trainline with supports and roping eye. It’s weighted for smooth operation and rides on precision-machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, paired with McHenry operating scale knuckles for reliable coupling. The injection-molded, highly detailed body captures the look of the real car, and a minimum turning radius of 18 inches keeps it running well on most HO layouts. A removable load adds realism and interchangeability for display or operation.
