HO 40' Offset Coal Hopper with Load, GTW #1 (ATH33087)

HO-scale 40-foot offset coal hopper with load, GTW #1, is a ready-to-run model designed to depict coal-hopper equipment on HO layouts. It includes a removable coal load, allowing the car to be shown either loaded or empty and making it suitable for realistic coal-service scenes or layouts with automated loading and unloading operations.

This highly detailed model features factory-applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps, end braces, and brake platform, plus separately applied brake gear including a brake wheel, brake wheel housing, air reservoir, brake cylinder, triple valve and trainline with supports and roping eye. It rides on weighted, precisely machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and uses McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for prototypical coupling. The injection-molded body is exceptionally detailed, and the car comes fully assembled and ready to run, with a minimum curve radius of 18 inches to suit a wide range of layouts.
