HO 40' Offset Coal Hopper with Load SCL #2 (ATH33091)

HO-scale 40-foot Offset Coal Hopper with Load, SCL No. 2 is a ready-to-run model designed for coal-hauling action on HO layouts. It features a removable coal load for unloading scenes and captures the look of a real offset-hopper car used in coal service.

Fully assembled and ready to operate, the model includes a highly detailed injection-molded body with factory-applied detailing such as wire grab irons, stirrup steps, end braces, and a brake platform. It’s weighted for stable running and rides on RP25-contoured metal wheels, paired with McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for authentic handling. The brake gear is separately applied, including brake wheel and housing, air reservoir, brake cylinder, triple valve, and trainline with supports and roping eye. A minimum curve radius of 18 inches keeps it compatible with many HO layouts.
