Thrall High-Side Gondola with Load is a detailed HO-scale model recreating a classic coal-hauling gondola from Thrall's lineup. Designed for realistic in-service scenes, this car features a tall sidewall profile and a load to convey its coal-transport role, and it runs on standard HO track codes 40, 55, and 80.

It rolls on machined metal wheels, screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks, and body-mounted McHenry scale operating knuckle couplers, with a separately applied brake wheel and a weighted body for smooth, reliable operation. Accurate painting and printing, along with a highly detailed injection-molded body, give it a faithful prototype look, while a minimum turning radius of 9 3/4 inches makes it compatible with a wide range of layouts. Primed for grime models, the car provides an authentic in-service appearance and serves as a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust. Historically, Thrall specialized in freight cars including high-side gondolas and rotary-dump cars for coal, shaping coal-hauling operations on U.S. railroads during the 1960s–1980s.
